Rings – Real English in Real Ireland is a truly unique experience.
You will stay at our home in the heart of Ireland, improve your English through custom-designed classes from a highly experienced teacher, and enjoy a memorable Irish holiday.
If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, relax and recharge your batteries the beautifully converted coach house is the place for you.
It is possible to come and stay, without any language classes, just relax in the peaceful surroundings.
We are also the ideal place if you are attending a wedding at Lisnavagh, which is just beside us! Take advantage of our flexible check in and out times. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast when it suits you the day after the celebrations.
The Hillfort of Rathgall (Rathgeal) near our home was in use in the Middle and Later Bronze Age (1200-900BCE). It consists of a series of concentric rings on which we based our name and logo.
Like you today, 3000 years ago people would have come here to stay, for refuge or to trade (Living), to study the making of jewellery and utensils (Learning) and to celebrate festivals (Leisure).
We will help you discover many more archaeological jewels that are to be found close to our home.
As part of our offer we invite you to explore different “rings” or circuits we have designed especially for you. These are routes, varying in duration from a few hours, to an afternoon, to a full day. All start and finish from our home. You can tour around and enjoy contrasting scenery and take part in a range of activities depending on your interests.
Along these routes you will find a large number of recommended stops for these different activities, plus recommendations of places to stop and have a drink or something to eat. In most cases these pubs and restaurants will be expecting you and will take the time to provide you with special care and attention, thereby enhancing and enriching your learning experience and immersion into both the language and the culture.
To make this easier for you we will provide you with a Sat Nav to guide you along the route. It goes without saying that nothing is obligatory and should you wish to change direction or improvise on the activity, we will always be just a phone call away and willing to help out in any way that is necessary.
If you choose not to rent a car don’t worry, we will take you.
You will stay at one of our two large self-contained apartments. Originally built as coach houses, these have been converted and tastefully restored as self-catering accommodation.
Both open onto a courtyard and have views of our gardens and surrounding countryside.
Each morning you will take English classes that are tailor-made for you. You decide in advance what you would like to focus on and Annette will prepare the lessons accordingly.
General fluency, business or academic English and exam preparation are some of the common requests.
During your stay, each afternoon, evening and weekend is yours to do as you wish. There are endless things to do and places to visit in the vicinity. From hill walking to shopping, from fishing to art galleries, Ireland has it all.
Our local knowledge means we can guide you and help you make the most of your holiday.

The price includes accommodation in the very comfortable self-catering apartments, homemade provisions are provided for breakfast.
You will be met at the airport and also enjoy a welcome meal (lunch/dinner) on your day of arrival.
All materials etc. used in the classes are included.
GPS with planned routes you choose to take will be provided.
You will be able to pay online using a credit or debit card via Paypal or via bank transfer.
A deposit option is available. Note: The remaining balance must be paid one month before arrival unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Yes. If you prefer meals can be provided. A supplement will of course apply.
In the case of a legitimate travel or medical emergency your course fee is protected and will be refunded to you.
The total capacity at any one time is 12, but additional accommodation can be arranged should the necessity arise.
We strongly advise guests to organise their own travel insurance before they travel as this is not provided by us.
